Utility Planning, Design and Relocation

PEC maintains in-depth experience in the design principals of water, sewer, gas, roadway and drainage work areas due to our diverse infrastructure service offerings.

Most road, drainage, and site designs require the relocation of the existing utilities to an expanded ROW to facilitate the proposed infrastructure improvement. PEC has performed these utility relocations in the design of both Client and government entity road and drainage improvement projects.  Complimentary to our firm’s utility relocation expertise is the ROW, site acquisition and relocation group within PEC.  Continuous involvement in individual utility design projects provides PEC engineers with an understanding of the client’s need for the most economical approach and recognition of potential construction issues that must be overcome in creating the most efficient relocation layout.  This in-house  ROW expertise provides for a clear understanding within our firm that development of the least possible amount of ROW acquisition is necessary to minimize the overall cost of road and drainage improvements.

PEC has successfully worked with the majority of major utility services throughout south Louisiana, and we have earned a reputation for service excellence as well as gained invaluable experience in the process.

Examples of utility type projects are as follows:
