Grant Administration

PEC provides management and administrative services for many of its projects including environmental reviews, administration of government grants and loans, and construction management.

Since our establishment in 1969, PEC has provided grant administration services to clients throughout the southeastern area of the United States.

Previous experience of PEC in the administration of government grants (i.e. SRF, CDBG, RUS) for various types of projects will enable PEC to ensure that the project is undertaken and completed within the prescribed time frame.  PEC continually appraises itself of current U.S. Environmental Quality (EPA) and Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG) rules and regulations.  Additionally, we maintain an in-house grant writer that provides grant application and administration services and coordinates projects with the engineering staff.

PEC has been involved in the LCDBG program since 1985, and we have effectively provided both administrative and engineering services for programs such as water, wastewater and road development.

A comprehensive listing of agencies with whom we work and the funding types covered in our grants administration efforts are as follows:

  • Capital Outlay Funds (As administered by Facility Planning) – All types of public works projects
  • Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) -

Frequently PEC provides one-stop shopping services including “big picture” infrastructure planning, grant application/administration, preliminary engineering reports/environmental documentation, ROW acquisition/relocation services, final design, advertising/bidding, start-up and construction monitoring.

PEC offers a knowledgeable team of professionals and associates that are available to work on multiple projects. We also subscribe to the “Cradle to Grave” philosophy of project management, meaning that the project manager assigned to a particular government entity at a project’s onset will remain assigned to that project through all stages of development toward completion.

PEC is equally committed to the quality and success of all of our Grants Administration endeavors.
