The Town of St Francisville was required to relocate its water, gas and sewer force main lines routed along State Hwy 61 due to the widening and four-laning of this roadway by the State.  The design and construction had to be accomplished as expediently as possible to prevent delay of the proposed widening program.  PEC was retained to perform the design and plan preparation for the relocation of approximately 6 miles of water and gas lines. The firm worked with the LADOTD to ensure the Town received proper reimbursement credit for the proposed relocation work.    Also included in this project was the design of a gas regulator station and a High Pressure Gas Transmission line.

Due to the required widening of Hwy. 964 (North of Hwy. 64), City of Zachary owned water and gas lines were relocated to the new right-of-way. PEC was retained to perform all permitting, ROW coordination, surveying and environmental investigations related to this utility relocation project. Unique features of this project include design of utility lines at planned depths to accommodate future road and drainage. The firm worked closely with City officials to determine future utility needs for anticipated growth in the area of these road improvements.
